In Word 2003, I know there was an easy way of inserting a footer and then choosing file/path as an item to display in the footer.
I was able to find how to add this in Word 2007, by inserting a footer then going to Quick Parts >Field, selecting FileName, and then checking the "Add path to filename" box.
Question: Is there a way to get this setting to save for all newly-created documents? Or, can you somehow add filename/path to the "Document Property" list so it can be quickly selected from Quick Parts without all the extra keystrokes any time you want to add it to a document? Thanks!

| I belive this will work as a quick tip. Select Insert>Choose Links>Select Hyperlink>Browse to the path the doc is located>select OK. You can leave the Hyperlink or remove it in your footer.
