Changing gridline colors can make a worksheet more readable, and more interesting than the default gray. Changing the colors works differently (and easier) in Excel 2007 than in earlier versions. Here's how to do it in 2007:
1. Click the Office button and then click Excel Options. Excel displays the Excel Options dialog box.
2. Click Advanced at the left side of the dialog box.
3. Scroll through the options until you see the Display Options for this Worksheet section.
4. Ensure the Show Gridlines check box is selected.
5. Using the Gridline Color drop-down list, choose the color you want to use.
6. Click OK.
You can do this in about 10 seconds, and give your worksheet a new look, and just another idea, if you change the gridline color in a certain worksheet, you have an instant visual clue to which sheet you are looking at. For example, you could make each month a different color, and even if the worksheets were almost exactly alike, they'll still have an obviously different look.
