Hello Everyone,

I have been going nuts with Word ever since I upgraded because if I had two word documents up it took 7 to 10 seconds to switch to one of them and be able to start typing. I did some google searching and determine my delay was caused because of an add-in adobe acrobat reader adds to Word; mmy workstation has Adobe Acrobat 7.0.9 installed. If you click the new office button in the top left-hand corner and click the button "Word Options" at the bottom you can get to the Add-Ins. There is a Add-Ins menu option to the right you need to click and in the center of the "Word Options" dialog window you should find an add in called "Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin" and it should appear under the "Acctive Application Add-Ins" list. If you select this add in and click the GO button at the bottom, make sure the "Manage" catagory is set to "COM Add-ins", you should get to a dialog box that will allow you to either Disable or remove this add in. Hope this helps a few people.

I have found that Office 2007 is slow in general. For instance, when I go to open a file, the folder icons along the left show placeholders for awhile before the icons actually appear.
