Even though the Save as PDF add-in is available, there are still a couple of extra steps in Word.
When you do a Save As > PDF or XML, you do not automatically see a PDF extension. You will still need to select that extension before saving. You do not need to do this extra step in Excel or PowerPoint, so maybe this is a bug?

| I just got Adobe Acrobat Professional 8 installed and now when I select "Save as PDF", the PDF extension appears automatically. Looks like you need version 8 before Acrobat works properly with Word 2007. Bummer!
