Does anyone know if you will be able to send text pages to OHSU pagers in Outlook the way we did in Groupwise? For example if the OHSU pager # was 12345 you would type in 12345@pager.ohsu.edu, put your message in the subject line, and hit send.

I will get this confirmed, but because that address appears to be a standard email address, I believe that it will work fine, though obviously with the same restrictions that the pagers have (text length, mainly).

Do you know if you can send emails to that address from outside OHSU? Can you page somebody from another email address off-campus?

If it doesn't work after the migration, you can put in a request with ITG and they will forward it to the appropriate group.

We tested the paging function in production Outlook today using the same addressing convention that is used from GW..... pager#@pager.ohsu.edu. It went through without any problem.

Any addressing functionality should be the same from both OWA and the client since they both go to the same source and resolve the same way.
