The Viewer that is part of Office 2007 is really 2003 Viewer. It will not show any animations and sometimes SmartArt graphics (new feature) don't look right.

You can download a PowerPoint 2007 Viewer, and that may make you feel better, but it's just a "hot-rodded" 2003 Viewer, adding the Compatibility Pack only. It still does not show animation or 2007 graphic effects.
