I received a call from a user whose scroll-wheel doesn't work properly in any Office 2007 application, although it works fine in non-Office applications. This is not something that all or most users will experience - I can scroll fine, as can my immediate coworkers. However, I did a Google search and found that numerous individuals outside of OHSU have experienced this problem. It appears specific to certain mice and mouse drivers, although I don't know which. None of the message board threads regarding this issue ended with any real solution, beyond buying a new mouse.

As a somewhat unsatisfying solution, if a user who experiences this problem clicks on the scroll bar, their scroll wheel will work fine. However, if the cursor is in the document itself, they won't be able to scroll. Such a bizarre issue...
